    I'm so far out of the loop. How do gamers get their games these days? Online? It's all downloaded directly? What about renting games? No more? I can't rent a game for 4 bucks anymore? ;-)

    I'd say online. Most of the consoles now have HDDs and can download games directly from whatever game store is built in. I know some systems are evne built around Steam. So it's an entirely different ecosystem from how it was back when. Hell, with some stuff (Antstream) you just stream the game from some other source.

    All my games are downloaded now. I've been playing the NES Switch the past year and every single game I have on that device has been downloaded. I also play on the Steam platform quite a bit.
